VICTORY OVER LUST (Part 4)
Posted by Robert Bagonza on Saturday, September 18, 2010
Summary:
Lust is an intense appetite for something, and is based in selfishness. To have a desire is not wrong, but when desire turns into impulsive
selfishness, greediness, and uncontrollable cravings, it becomes evil.
Judge your desires; whether or not they are from God or Satan. Godly
desires will always line up with the Word of God and lead you to a
place of peace, wholeness, and well-being. Walk in the Spirit and you
will not fulfill selfish desires.
- Life is a series of choices.
- You have been given the right to choose to live by faith or fear.
- God wants you to choose His way; however, He will not force you.
- The world system operates by fear and is based in selfishness.
- Satan is the ruler of the world system where lust dominates (1 John 2:16, 17, AMP).
- Don't fall for the world's way of doing things (1 John 2:15, AMP).
- The messages of the world are preached through movies, TV, music, media advertising, etc.
- Satan constantly fights to win you to his way of doing things.
- In the kingdom of God, Jesus is Lord.
- God's kingdom operates by faith and is based in love.
- You can choose to follow God's way or Satan's way, every day.
- You were born for a purpose.
- On the inside of you, there is a strong passion to do what you were born to do.
- Lust is what Satan uses to move you out of the will of God for your life.
- There is a way out of this trap, because Jesus is your deliverer.
- You have been given the right to choose to live by faith or fear.
- Walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16, AMP).
- You are blessed with all spiritual blessings (Ephesians 1:3).
- Walking in the Spirit means operating according to the Word of God.
- Many Christians only pretend to walk in the Spirit.
- Your spiritual maturity is determined by the decisions you make that line up with the Word of God.
- All curses come from walking in the flesh or taking part in the world's system of operation (Jeremiah 17:5).
- The flesh is a way of thinking that opposes the Word of God.
- Wrong actions stem from wrong thinking.
- Wrong thinking comes from the world.
- If you expose yourself to viewpoints that oppose God's Word, you will begin to reason and doubt.
- The Word of God is spirit (John 6:63).
- To be spiritual is to live and think according to God's Word.
- You are blessed with all spiritual blessings (Ephesians 1:3).
