THREE FUNDAMENTALS TO OPERATING IN THE ANOINTING
Posted by Robert Bagonza on Tuesday, January 11, 2011
Summary:
The anointing is not just reserved for pastors and those in ministry; it is available to all born-again believers. It
is the power of God that flows out of the Holy Spirit into your
born-again spirit. This power guarantees you the ability to get results.
However, you must pay a price for it.
- To operate in the anointing, you must love righteousness and hate wickedness (Psalm 45:6-7).
- Old Testament righteousness referred to righteous acts.
- Because Jesus loved righteousness and hated wickedness, He was anointed of God—and Jesus remained anointed throughout His earthly ministry.
- New Testament righteousness—righteousness by faith—comes as a result of what Jesus has done.
- You are declared righteous before you ever perform a righteous act.
- Be not deceived into believing that because you are the righteousness of God you don’t have to do what is right (1 John 3:7, AMP).
- You must be willing to do what is necessary for God to anoint you with the ability to get results.
- When you are off the track of righteousness, you are off the track of power (1 Samuel 12:3).
- There is a price to pay for the anointing that removes burdens and destroys yokes (Isaiah 10:27).
- When you are tempted to sin, ask yourself, What will it cost me where the anointing is concerned?
- Because Jesus was without sin, His anointing was without limits (2 Corinthians 5:21).
- Don’t allow sin to place a limit on the anointing in your life.
- The anointing that knows no limits is the result of righteousness that knows no bounds.
- The apostle Paul was anointed, because he had a love for righteousness (1 Thessalonians 2:10).
- Because the prophet Samuel was righteous, his words did not fall to the ground when he spoke (1 Samuel 3:19).
- To operate in the anointing, you must walk in love.
- Walking in love is walking in God.
- The fruit of love has been deposited in your born-again spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
- To demonstrate the power of the Spirit, you must walk in love.
- You cannot have more anointing than you have love.
- Spiritual gifts cannot compare to the more excellent way of love (1 Corinthians 12:31).
- Don’t allow the actions of others to cause you to lose the anointing.
- Strife, hatred, unforgiveness and bitterness prevent the anointing from operating in your life.
- When you walk in love and stay anointed, the negative situations in your life will melt away.
- Jesus was constantly moved with compassion; as a result, He was anointed to heal the sick.
- To operate in the anointing, you must live a life of praise.
- “Thank You, Lord” is always an appropriate response to every situation.
- A life void of praise and worship, experiences the absence of the anointing.
- Begin thanking God for what He has already done in your life.
- God is fearful in praise (Exodus 15:11).
- Jesus gave thanks before the loaves of bread were multiplied.
- Trouble is an opportunity to see the power of God at work in your life.
- “Thank You, Lord” is always an appropriate response to every situation.
