Summary:
Prosperity is not just about money. God desires to prosper His people beyond their expectations; however, we must understand that prosperity in His Kingdom will require His standards. We cannot get around the fact that we must cultivate a relationship with Him, have faith, and receive His instructions. When we renew our minds with His Word, we take one of the first steps to receiving the God-kind of prosperity.
- Joseph’s brothers sold him into slavery; however, even as a slave, he continued to prosper (Genesis 39:1-13, AMP).
- God will cause us to succeed in every area of life despite our current circumstances.
- Joseph possessed extraordinary wisdom, proving that God was with Him.
- God’s presence in our lives can be seen (Genesis 39:3).
- Joseph succeeded in all he did. As a result, his master gave him authority over his entire estate.
- Holiness is being of one mind with God.
- God’s presence was strong in Joseph’s life because he continued to obey, even in the midst of temptation.
- Although he was pressured, he refused to sin (Genesis 39:7).
- God has hidden wisdom and knowledge for us so we can resolve every problem that exists (Deuteronomy 29:29).
- We must learn to tap into God’s hidden wisdom.
- We can have access to His wisdom when we live holy lives, which allows us to hear His voice.
- We must continue to renew our minds with His Word (listen to messages, attend church, study the Bible, etc.).
- There are certain secrets hidden for us, not from us. He desires to reveal secrets to His children (Mark 4:21, 22, AMP).
- We experience breakthrough when we receive a Word directly from God. His written Word prepares us to hear His voice.
- The Kingdom of God operates by faith and the principle of seedtime and harvest.
- We will reap whatever we sow.
- Simon ministered to Jesus by providing Him a ship to preach in (Luke 5:1-7).
- He received a great harvest when he obeyed. However, he would have been more equipped to handle the harvest had he obeyed Jesus completely.
- His harvest was greater than his expectation.
- When we give Jesus first place in our lives, He rewards us with instructions that contain hidden wisdom.
- However, in order to receive the full benefits of these rewards, we must obey Him completely.
