THE CALL TO VIRTUE.

Summary:
The life of a Christian should be far from average because we have the power of God on the inside of us. We have the ability to impact the world, demonstrating God’s power through signs and wonders. However, the course of our lives will be determined by the way we think. Our thoughts will either cause us to fail or succeed as Christians.
- God has called each of us to operate in virtue and glory (2 Peter 1:3).
- Virtue means power.
- God does not want the Church to be powerless, lacking the ability to impact the world.
- Philip preached about the anointing; he also performed miracles (Acts 8:4-13, AMP).
- Great crowds of people listened to Philip.
- The people were amazed by the signs and wonders he performed. As a result, their faith in God grew.
- People were delivered from demonic oppression and illnesses.
- A man who practiced magic received the Word.
- God wants us to change lives. He wants us to draw unsaved people to Him.
- As Christians, we cannot be selfish. We must do what God has called us to do.
- Our lives should demonstrate God’s power.
- The virtuous woman relied on God for power and strength (Proverbs 31:10).
- A person of virtue is rare and priceless in the eyes of God.
- We should tap into the power of God in every area of our lives.
- Many of us have become accustomed to relying on other sources.
- A certain woman had an issue of blood. She heard that Jesus could heal the sick (Mark 5:25-32, AMP).
- She kept saying that if she could only touch the hem of His garment she would be made whole.
- She touched the hem of His clothing, and was instantly healed of her illness.
- The root of her sickness was completely resolved.
- Likewise, there are long-standing issues in our lives that we want resolved immediately.
- We must connect to the anointing of the Holy Spirit and have faith in Jesus and His ability to help us.
- There is power in the Word of God; His Word can dry up the source of any trouble we are in.
- “If any man has ears to hear, let him be listening, and perceive and comprehend” (Mark 4:23, 24, AMP).
- Many times we hear things that do not line up with the Word of God.
- It is our responsibility to guard our hearts against anything that opposes His Word.
- The amount of thought and study we give the Word will determine the power we operate in (Mark 4:24, AMP).
- What we choose to think about will determine the life we will live (Philippians 4:6-9, AMP).
- We should evaluate our thoughts.
- If our thoughts oppose the Word, we must fix our minds on the things we have learned and received from the Word of God.
