RELEASING THE POWER WITHIN.
Summary:
True Believers possess great power within—and that power is our faith. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God; therefore, faith and God’s Word are one. Our faith is not just a religious display of what we think we ought to say or do. Instead, faith is an expression of the confidence we have in God and His Word.
- Our confidence is an expression of our commitment to God and His Word.
- Spending time in prayer and in the Bible increases our confidence in Him.
- Through our personal relationship with God, He guides us to victory.
- However, when we turn from God and His Word, and depend on man (or this world’s system), we are empowered to fail (Jeremiah 17:5-6, AMP).
- Blessed (empowered to have success) is the person who trusts God (Jeremiah 17:7-8, AMP).
- When we completely trust in and rely on God, we are like a tree that is planted by a river.
- Even in drought (or harsh economic times), we continue to flourish when we depend on Him.
- “For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4, AMP).
1. As Believers, we can rejoice because we have the victory, even before we see it.
2. When we find promises in God’s Word, we can claim our victory according to what the Word says.
3. In order to see the victory manifest in our lives, faith has to be evident in two places—the mouth and heart.
4. We are always confident in God’s Word. We walk by faith and not by sight (or by what our circumstances seem to indicate) (2 Corinthians 5:6-7).
5. “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Hebrews 11:6).
