LIVING HOLY.

Summary:
We are holy when we allow our thinking to agree with God’s Word. It is vital to our success as Christians that we renew our minds with the Word of God on a daily basis. If we do not allow the Word to change our thinking and way of life, we will never know what it means to be holy.
- God wants us to partake of His holiness (Hebrews 12:10, The Amplified Bible).
- Holiness must become a lifestyle for Christians.
- We should strive to live in peace with everyone and pursue holiness (Hebrews 12:14, AMP).
- We pursue holiness by reading, studying, and doing the Word (renewing the mind).
- The mind-set we have determines the life we will live.
- God wants us to experience His blessing; He wants to see His promises come to pass in our lives.
- He knows that if we transform our thinking to agree with His Word, our lives will produce godly results.
- When we become born again, we give our lives to Jesus Christ, allowing Him to reign over us.
- We must allow our sinful nature to die so that our new nature in Christ can live.
- Why do we procrastinate in making the changes God wants us to make?
- Many times, we want to hang on to certain aspects of our old nature.
- We may be reluctant to completely turn away from certain pleasurable sins.
- We may not want to go through the process of allowing the Word to change our ungodly thoughts (the ones we like).
- However, when we live holy lives, we are positioning ourselves to receive all God wants to give us (2 Corinthians 7:1, AMP).
- Worldly thinking causes us to be perverse, vain, empty, and unproductive (Ephesians 4:17, AMP).
- People who have worldly mind-sets are alienated from the life of God because of their ignorance of Him (Ephesians 4:18-19, AMP).
- As a result, they go further into their ignorance and sin.
- For the Christian, there is a new way of life—a life that is holy and consecrated unto God.
- As Believers, we must refrain from the worldly thinking we had before we were born again.
- During the mind renewal process, a transformation takes place in us. We begin to actually agree with the Word.
- A sinful lifestyle and worldly thinking cause strongholds to develop in our minds, which are difficult to break.
- Therefore, our subconscious thinking must be renewed with the Word (Ephesians 4:20-32, AMP).
- In other words, the “Word transformation” must go so deep that it affects us subconsciously, or within the spirit of our minds (Ephesians 4:23, AMP).
- We can get to the point that we do the Word without having to consciously think about it.
- When we consistently learn and do the Word, we are holy.
