JESUS: THE DOOR
Posted by Robert Bagonza on Saturday, September 18, 2010
Summary:
Jesus is the door; you can only enter Heaven through Him. He is also your
open door to opportunities here on Earth. The doors He has opened, no
man can shut.
Jesus is the door, and through Him you obtain salvation (John 10:1-11).
- Don't put your faith in your works or efforts, but in Jesus.
- He's the only one who has championed life.
- Willpower without Jesus is not enough to experience lasting change in your life.
- Jesus reveals to the Apostle John through His angel what must come to pass (Revelation 1:1).
- The Lord sets before us doors of opportunities. No man can shut the doors He opens (Revelation 3:7, 8, AMP).
- To obtain the provisions of Jesus, you must go through Him.
- God was well pleased and delighted with Jesus, and no man could find fault in Him (Luke 3:22, AMP; Matthew 17:5; Mark 12:13-17; Matthew 22:22; Mark 12:18-27; John 7:45, 46; Mark 11:27-29).
- Jesus is holy and true (Matthew 27:23, 24).
- Satan tried tempting Jesus and couldn't find fault in Him (Matthew 4:1-11).
- Satan tempted Him to question His identity.
- In the same manner, he will tempt you to cause you to question who you are in Christ.
- Jesus is a faithful and true witness. Because of Him, God made a covenant with David (Revelation 19:11; 3:14).
- Jesus faithfully represented the Father; He passed the tests and was authenticated.
- The keys of the house of David sit upon the shoulders of Jesus (Isaiah 22:22).
- Keys are a symbol of power.
- David desired to have one of his descendants sit upon the throne of the house of Israel (Jeremiah 33:17).
- Jesus fulfilled prophecy, and sat as a son of David on the throne of the
House of Israel (Hebrews 1:3; Luke 1:30-33; Acts 2:29, 34; Isaiah 9:6).
- Don't put your faith in your works or efforts, but in Jesus.
- Jesus abolishes every other rule and power (1 Corinthians 15:24).
- Jesus said He was once dead, but now He lives forever; He has the keys of hell and death (Revelation 1:18).
- He will be with us always; all power on Earth and in Heaven has been given to Him (Matthew 28:9; 16-18).
- John wept because no one was worthy to open and read the book with the seven seals (Revelation 5:1-4).
- One of the elders assured him that the Lion of the tribe of Judah has
overcome and conquered, and He (Jesus) is worthy to open the book
(Revelation 5:5).
- Jesus said He was once dead, but now He lives forever; He has the keys of hell and death (Revelation 1:18).
