HEAVEN: SO MUCH MORE.

Summary:
God created both heaven and earth. Heaven, the dwelling place of God, is an actual place that is much larger and greater than the earth. We must develop our faith in the reality of heaven.
- In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1).
- When God created the heavens, he also created the earth, which means they are all real places.
- The “heavens” in the above scripture is referring to the three heavens:
- The first heaven is the atmosphere surrounding the earth, which includes the elements (rain, snow, clouds, etc.) and the animals of the sky.
- The second heaven consists of the sun, moon, stars, planets, galaxies—outer space.
- The third heaven is a place beyond the atmosphere and outer space. It is the dwelling place of God.
- What is heaven like?
- There is a mode of transportation.
- God makes the clouds His chariot, and He walks on the wings of the wind (Psalm 104:1-3).
- There is food in heaven.
- When the Israelites complained to God, asking for bread and meat, He sent food (manna and quail) from heaven (Psalm 105:40, AMP, Psalm 78:19-29).
- The food was so fresh, it perished quickly (Exodus 16:16-20).
- God’s creations supersede what we see here on the earth. He is the first and original creator, who has created all things for His purposes.
