FROM FAITH TO RESULTS: SOWING AND REAPING FAITH
Posted by Robert Bagonza on Friday, September 24, 2010
Summary:
Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Therefore, God's Word is the source
of faith. Be sure to plant the Word in your heart just as a farmer
plants seed, and allow it to remain there regardless of distractions
from the enemy.
- The just shall live by faith (Habakkuk 2:4; Romans 1:16, 17; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:38).
- Faith is the prescribed lifestyle for the just.
- The just are those who have been declared righteous in the sight of God.
- What is faith?
- Faith is the substance of the things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).
- Without hope, faith has nothing to fulfill.
- Hope is the blueprint for faith to accomplish.
- Faith is the substance of the things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).
- Faith is a practical expression of your confidence in God and His Word.
- Belief, alone, is not faith.
- Faith is acting out on what you believe.
- Faith is always present tense.
- Belief, alone, is not faith.
- Faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17).
- No Word, no faith.
- No Word, no faith.
- Faith is the prescribed lifestyle for the just.
- The Word of God is the seed of faith (I Peter 1:23).
- Just as a farmer plants seed for food, the seed of faith has to be planted in your heart.
- A farmer has to plant in good ground in order to get a harvest.
- Likewise, you have to plant the Word in the good ground of your heart to get a harvest.
- Although the apostles wanted increased faith, Jesus reminded them that faith is like a seed (Luke 17:5, 6).
- When you plant the seed of faith in your heart, cultivate it, and protect it; it will grow.
- The end of your faith is when you have what you've been believing God for.
- Just as a farmer plants seed for food, the seed of faith has to be planted in your heart.
- Your heart is the ground that will grow Word of God seed (Proverbs 4:20-27).
- Your heart grows word seed-either God's or Satan's.
- There is a battle over who will plant in your ground.
- Satan wants to use your ground to produce his word seed.
- He makes suggestions in an attempt to get his word seed into your heart.
- Every issue that concerns your life comes out of your heart; guard it vigilantly.
- There are three entrances into your heart:
- The eye gate
- The ear gate
- The mouth gate
- Whatever you spend the most time with is what will be planted in your heart.
- Whatever you give attention to most is what you will desire.
- Be careful not to allow Word of God seed to be choked by other seed.
- God says attend to His words.
- Whatever you give attention to most is what you will desire.
- Your heart grows word seed-either God's or Satan's.
