Summary:
Change is a process that many people find difficult; however, it is necessary for reaching your destiny. If you are not changing, you are not
growing. There are five hindrances to change: pride, fear, rebellion,
laziness and ignorance. Locating these hindrances in your life and
committing to getting rid of them will put you on the path to change.
- The only way to change is by renewing your mind with God's Word (Romans 12:1, 2).
- Acquiring more knowledge doesn't mean your mind is being renewed.
- Renewing your mind is an ongoing process that takes place by applying the Word of God to your thinking so your mindset can change.
- The evidence that your mind is renewed is when you don't respond in the same way to old temptations.
- We are to dedicate our bodies to God as a sacrifice.
- When we renew our minds, we prove what is acceptable to God.
- The Word must go deep in your spirit.
- The Word is the only thing that has the power to penetrate your heart (Hebrews 4:12).
- The Word is the only thing that has the power to penetrate your heart (Hebrews 4:12).

- Fear keeps you from taking risks.
- If you are in fear, torment is present.
- Perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:17, 18).
- Rebellion: "I don't want to change."
- Saul disobeyed God, and his rebellion cost him his kingship, anointing and destiny (1 Samuel 15:1-9, 22, 23).
- Laziness: "I don't feel like changing."
- Laziness will lead you to poverty (Proverbs 6:9-11).
