ABIDING IN THE BLESSING ( PART 3 ).

Summary:
What does it mean to abide in the blessing? It means we abide in God’s empowerment for success. However, His empowerment only comes when we have proven to be disciplined, faithful, and obedient, which is the essence of fearing God. To fear God means to do what pleases Him and refuse to do anything that displeases Him.
- “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” (Ephesians 1:3).
- Our physical status in life is a reflection of our spiritual status.
- In other words, what we do spiritually in our private time will be apparent in our public lives.
- The word “blessed” means empowered to have success.
- God adds His supernatural ability to our natural ability to empower us.
- When His blessing is upon us, it impacts every area of our lives.
- In order for the blessing to operate in our lives, we must be in pursuit of it.
- Obtaining the blessing will require discipline, faithfulness, and obedience.
- Discipline is doing the things we know to do according to the Word of God.
- Faithfulness means doing what God last told you to do. There is a difference between doing what you are called to do and doing what you can do.
- Obedience means learning and obeying God’s written Word and obeying His specific instructions to us.
- When we fear God instead of man, we experience His blessing.
- We cannot be in bondage to people and do what God has called us to do.
- God has a purpose for each of us. We must be happy with our portion or calling in life.
- Our objective should be to please God, not to have the approval of man.
- The blessing has been attached to our individual callings.
